About this course

The course has been created for Officers which would like to increase their knowledge in Jack Up Operations on both traditional and weak legged jack Installations. Understand of scour occurs when structures (Legs) are placed on erodible beds and exposed to current and waves. The course includes detailed knowledge of the hydrodynamic challenges, deep learning of barge's Stability (theories and practical) and effect of the weight on Stability and trim as well as relationship with client – boundaries of responsibilities.

- The causes of leg misalignment and its effects on jack-up barge jacking systems

- Ballast water management plan

- How to use jack-up barge systems to maintain jack-up barge stability

- Seabed survey

- SUR with legs psn

- Jacking up/down checklist

- Leg loads & inclination

- Pre-load / Pre-spotting check and risk for punch-through

- Rig moving practice (wet and dry transport)

- Cargo manifests

- Lifting register

- Cargo handling and stowage

- Anchor pattern

- Safety Inspection

- Ship’s correspondence
